GAVS - Expanding Options and Opportunities!

 Welcome to the Guidance Center!

To students, parents, facilitators and staff: We hope the resources linked to this page will make student planning for life after high school a little easier! As you explore the websites listed in the boxes to the left, you will discover that many are very comprehensive, with information about all aspects of successfully completing high school, exploring career options and planning for further education. A good place to start the planning process is to create an account with GACollege411. It's just for students in Georgia, and can help you with looking at your current status and also your educational future!

Did you know that  GAcollege411 has a new website. Click HERE to register for a 3:30 PM online overview on August 20, 2009. Another meeting is scheduled for August 27th at 4:30 PM; click HERE to register for that meeting.

If you don’t want to have to come back here everytime to access the various links, try using an online bookmarking system (called social bookmarking) such as Buddy Marks. You sign up for the free account, and then you can bookmark sites that will remain available whenever and wherever you sign in to the site! If you bookmark a site on one computer and want to see it on another, this may be for you!

Explore the sites, and let us know which ones are the most helpful.  Feel free to email us and recommend your favorite sites so that we can all share the best the web has to offer!

A tech tip: Firefox is the browser used most often by GAVS students. Also be sure your popup blocker is "off" on whichever web browser you use.
