Georgia Virtual School, an initiative of the Department of Education, provides opportunities and options for Georgia students to engage in Advanced Placement, college preparatory, career and technical, and other electives online to enhance their learning experiences.
During fall and spring semesters, registered home school students may take up to one unit of GAVS high school-level courses using state funding. (One unit in the fall and one unit in the spring.) State funded seats are limited, and enrollment is granted on a first come, first served basis beginning May 1. Home school students can enroll in additional classes at a cost of $300 per half unit. There is no state funding available for summer courses. The cost is $300 per half unit.

Middle school courses are being offered on a tuition basis. The cost for each course is $150. No state funding is available for middle school level courses for any students. For more information, please click here.
