Heather Robinson, Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Learning

Heather2.jpgHeather Robinson has been working with GAVS for 4 years as an adjunct instructor, part time instructor,  Program Coordinator for Teacher Quality, and now Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Learning.  Heather received a Bachelor of Science from Clemson University in Mathematics Teaching in 1998.  She also earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia in 2004. 

Prior to working exclusively with Georgia Virtual School, Heather was a classroom teacher for 9 years in DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, and Commerce City School Systems.

Heather is very excited to be a part of the GAVS team and being a part of creating more opportunities for students all across the Southeast to get a quality education.

 

   
 Amanda Williamson, Program Coordinator for Teacher Quality

Amanda WilliamsonAmanda Williamson has worked for Ga. Virtual for 4 years as an adjunct mathematics teacher, content developer, and mathematics department chair. Prior to working full-time for GaVS, Amanda worked 6 years at Vidalia High School where she was a mathematics teacher and department chair. She taught four years at Jeff Davis High School and one year at Jenkins County High School. She also taught as an adjunct mathematics teacher at Darton College for two years.

Amanda lives in Vidalia, Georgia, with her husband and two children.  She has a BBA with an emphasis in Public Accounting from Georgia Southern University.  She received her teacher certification from Brewton Parker College and also has a M. Ed. in Mathematics Education from Georgia Southern. She recently completed education leadership certification.

Amanda is looking forward to working with teachers to directly impact student achievement.
